AFPA

AFPA integrates AFS@Web on its website
Website   http://www.afpa.fr

Year   2008

/ Business background

AFPA is a French organization that works in the common interest, facilitating career transitions and professional competence development. It also helps to implement the employment and training policies of public and private organizations.

/ Challenge

AFPA's website publicizes its full range of training and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programs. This represents several thousand articles, very rich in information content. An added complexity is that when a site user searches for information about training, the objectives differ depending on whether he is an employer or an employee.
Therefore, the challenges are:

  • optimally responding to large-scale indexing and audience requirements;
  • dynamically organizing the information with respect to target, location and objectives;
  • correctly interpreting the requests despite the fact that the training sector utilizes a specialized technical vocabulary, which is not necessarily used by the site's visitors;

/ The Antidot response

AFS@Web fully responded to the AFPA's challenges:

  • It includes modules that allow categorization of results and navigation with refinement of the search perimeter.

  • It integrates Formacode® 2008, a standardized thesaurus of training terminology. Formacode® establishes equivalences allowing interchangeability with two other terminology standards: the ANPE's ROME (Répertoire Opérationnel des Métiers-Emplois) and the CNIS's NSF (Nomenclature des Spécialités de Formation).

/ The technical advantages
