Organize

In order to best organize the information users glean from their searches, CKS lets each user create folders where he can classify his saved queries and resources. Just like directories on a computer, each folder holds multiple requests, accompanied by all key resources for a particular theme, for a project or for a simple documentary research task.

As with queries and resources, the user can describe each folder with a set of metadata (name, description, keywords), which will allow him to optimally organize and share the information.

Annotate

Tags are keywords that can be associated with different CKS objects to hold annotations and descriptions, to sort them and to organize them. CKS users can associate tags with their own saved information (requests, resources, alerts and folders), but they can also tag other users.

/ The advantages CKS

This annotation system simultaneously provides the advanced functions of controlled annotation and of Web 2.0 style "folksonomy". It allows enrichment of the data in your information system without modifying existing applications and servers, while allowing each user or community of interest to contribute their interpretation of the data in relation to their specific business needs.
