Multisource indexing

Through its open, agent-based architecture, AFS indexes all your enterprise's data sources, regardless of their format.
An extremely modular workflow allows configuration and assembly of unitary processing strategies, modeling and implementing all steps necessary for preprocessing of data before it is indexed (conversion, standardization, merging, etc.).
Antidot Finder Suite allows you to define the search solution perfectly tailored to your requirements and to the imperatives of your environment:

  • Multisource indexing:
    • file servers, static or dynamic websites, databases, XML streams, e-mail, digital catalogs, directories, etc.
    • an agent-based architecture assures simplicity and upgradability, quickly taking new data sources into account
    • access to data in "pull" mode (read by the agent at its own initiative and according to its configuration) or in "push" mode (data sent to the engine via Web services)
  • Multiformat indexing: HTML, PDF, XML, text, Flash, RTF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenOffice and numerous others
  • Multilingual indexing:
    • automatic language detection, Unicode support
    • categorization and filtering by language
    • inflection management (singular/plural, masculine/feminine, conjugations)
  • Dictionaries and thesauri:
    • definition of synonyms using the back office, integration of synonym dictionaries
    • thesaurus support (simple, multilingual, polyhierarchical) allow search with semantic extension (autoposting) and cross-lingual search
  • Data security:
    • AFS enforces access rights for resources and integrates with directories (LDAP, Active Directory, etc.) or other systems to filter results according to user profiles
    • encryption of data and communications
